That sketch turned into one of the most recognized HOTRIG designs to ever hit the road — and if you know us, you already know exactly which one we’re talking about.
Back then, that design got slapped onto a t-shirt and thrown into the cab of a beat-up Freightshaker. No business plan. No investors. No fancy marketing team. Just grit, hustle, and one simple question asked at truck stops across America:
“Would truckers actually wear this?”
The response was unreal.
Truckers weren’t just looking for another shirt — they were starving for something that actually represented them. Something built from the road, not manufactured by people who never touched a steering wheel.
So me and my buddy went all in.
Long nights. Rough ideas. Learning as we went. Scrubbing together a website from scratch with zero clue what we were doing… but with a whole lotta belief in what HOTRIG could become.
Then came our first truck show.
And that changed everything.
Yeah, the sales were wild… but that wasn’t what hooked us.
What hooked us was discovering the other side of trucking.
The side built on pride.
The side where chrome shines like trophies.
Where chicken lights glow through the night.
Where every polished bolt, stretched frame, paint job, and long hood tells a story.
We found the 1% of truckers who live this lifestyle to the fullest.
The ones who treat their rigs like a badge of honor.
The ones who understand that trucking ain’t just a job — it’s identity, sacrifice, brotherhood, and freedom.
That’s where HOTRIG was truly born.
Not in a warehouse.
Not behind a desk.
But out on the asphalt… surrounded by diesel smoke, polished aluminum, loud pipes, lifelong friendships, and memories that still ride with us today.
Since 2013 — built by truckers, for truckers.
And we’re just gettin’ warmed up.
